Lord’s Cricket Ground will host a special UNICEF matchday takeover on 24 June during England’s ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 clash against West Indies, as part of a global effort to raise funds and awareness for children around the world.
The ‘Play for UNICEF’ activation has been organised by the International Cricket Council (ICC), UNICEF UK and the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), with a fundraising target of £100,000. Fans at the ground as well as those watching the game globally will be encouraged to contribute to UNICEF’s work supporting children in vulnerable situations across the world.

Actor and UNICEF UK supporter Nabhaan Rizwan will be part of the occasion and will walk out with the trophy alongside former England cricketer Isa Guha. “I’m excited to be at Lord’s on Wednesday, 24 June for the Play for UNICEF match day takeover,” said Rizwan. “As a huge cricket fan, I can’t wait to see England play West Indies for this ICC Women’s T20 World Cup game, during which fans will also be able to donate to support UNICEF’s work for every child”.
The Lord’s takeover will include UNICEF branding around the venue, donation prompts on the big screens, QR-coded 4s and 6s cards for supporters, and dedicated messaging on the global broadcast. The ECB will also auction a signed jersey, with all proceeds going to the campaign.
An ICC spokesperson said: “The ICC Women’s T20 World Cup is a powerful platform to bring people together, and this matchday takeover at Lord’s is an important opportunity to support UNICEF’s life-changing work for children around the world.”
UNICEF UK Head of Corporate Business Development, Lamis Serroukh, added: “Every donation from our match takeover today will go towards this life-saving work, so please support us if you can.”
The initiative is part of the ICC’s wider Cricket 4 Good partnership with UNICEF, which also includes cricket sessions with girls across all seven tournament venues.
