Women’s Asia Cup likely to be held in UAE From August 28

The Women’s Asia Cup is most likely set to be held in the UAE from August 28 to September 13, although the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) is yet to officially confirm the dates and venue.

The tournament will feature eight teams, with defending champions Sri Lanka joined by India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Malaysia, Thailand and hosts UAE. It will be the sixth edition of the T20 Women’s Asia Cup.

The ACC has already informed the participating teams about the expected schedule and venue. According to an email sent to the teams on July 22, players and officials are expected to arrive in the UAE on August 27, with the final planned for September 13.

However, the ACC also mentioned that the final schedule and venue are still awaiting approval from the council. PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi is currently the ACC president.

The timing of the Asia Cup is also important, as the women’s cricket event at the 2026 Asian Games in Nagoya, Japan, is scheduled to be held from September 17 to 24.
