Litton Das Excited To Chase ‘Bigger Dream’ At Asian Games 2026

Bangladesh T20I captain Litton Das feels that his team are well prepared for the upcoming Asian Games and highlighted how his players are looking forward to fulfilling the bigger dream at the mega event.

Since September 13, the players selected for the Asian Games have been training at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium under the guidance of Mohammad Salahuddin, who will be the coach of the men’s team at the multi-nation event.

“I feel we are very well prepared, and the target is definitely clear,” Litton told reporters in Dhaka. “Since we are going into a tournament, we want to reach the final and hopefully do something good there. The preparation has been very good. We have had the opportunity to play two practice games after a long time. As you know, our last T20I series was in Zimbabwe, so these practice games have given us an opportunity to build our bonding as a team.”

Having missed the 2026 T20 World Cup, Litton stressed the significance of playing in a big tournament, calling it a rare opportunity.

“You get franchise leagues or national team assignments regularly, but this tournament is a rare opportunity. Every player is excited, and we will all try to fulfil what would be a bigger dream for us,” said Litton.

At the 2010 Asian Games in Guangzhou, the men’s cricket team secured gold, marking a historic achievement that remains the country’s only gold medal at the Games across all sports.
